Jeff has been an avid photographer for most of his life. He has shot landscapes, nature, architecture, vegetarian and other non-profit events, special events, and weddings. He has never pursued photography as a primary profession, but it has long been important to him. He now uses it for his web sites, continued pro bono work, as well as for pin-back button designs.

May 3, 2015Jeff recently paid a visit to Seattle's Market Theater "Gum Wall" on Post Alley adjacent to Pike Place Market. Not a place for germaphobes, the Gum Wall is a strange, perhaps gross art piece made up of tens of thousands of wads of used gum!!! |

I flew from Seattle to New York City. I spent a couple nights touring the city, including seeing the
David Letterman Show,
then met up with a band of wild Vermonters for the flight to London. After

March Against Monsanto Protest
Westlake Center to Seattle Center via the
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle, Washington
~ May 25, 2013 ~Concerned citizens protested the Monsanto corporation for its creation and use of genetically modified organizms (GMOs), pesticides, and other toxic & dangerous products. The March Against Monsanto is an event started in 2013 that included protests in 436 cities around the world.

While in Arizona on a work-related trip, Jeff spent some extra days taking photos around Arizona, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Sedona! Included are photos of blue skies (often absent in Seattle!), animals, cacti and other plants, landscapes, architecture, and even food!

Jeff visited this annual "reliving" of the night of the living dead! Such creativity and gore in this wonderfully unique part of Seattle, dubbed the "Center of the Universe"! There were no known fatalites during the walk, but it is unknown how many new zombies were created/enlisted/converted!

Caribbean Cruise

Jeff had the opportunity to take a Caribbean Cruise with some family members. They departed New Orleans, Louisiana aboard the Norwegian Spirit (Norwegian Cruises). The ports of call were: Costa Maya, Mexico; Belize City, Belize; Roatan, Honduras; Cozumel, Mexico; and then back to New Orleans. Jeff's photos are broken up into the different stops, as well as shots from onboard ship during the cruise.

Seattle had some crazy weather the week of January 15, 2011 (mainly 1/17/11 through 1/19/11. There was not much accumilation, but it was a mess! With temperatures hovering around freezing, we had rain, freezing rain, snow, and ice. Roads were slippery and, on 1/19/11, even sidewalks were dangerous! The night of 1/19/11, I ventured out after 11:00 PM to capture some of the beauty of the ice on nearby plants.

Griffith Park & The Hollywood Sign hike, November 21, 2011, Los Angeles, California -
On this visit, Jeff was determined to hike all the way out to the Hollywood Sign from the Griffith Observatory. He tried on 11/20/11, but it was pouring rain, so he tried again the next day. The rains had cleared out the air, leaving beutiful skies on the 21st! Five hours after he began his hike he returned back to the observatory with hundreds of photos! Photos include Los Angeles, The Hollywood Sign, bunny rabbits, lizzards, ravens, and lots of scenery.
Fur-Free Friday Protest, November 25th, 2011, Beverly Hills, California - Jeff photographed a fur protest march through Beverly Hills, including Rodeo Drive. This was a very passionate group, which you can see in the photos. The event is an annual event, as well as an international one, with similar protest marches in other cities around the world.
Taste of Health 2011 Trip - Vancouver, BC, Canada
Taste of Health (TOH) is a one-day event in Vancouver promoting the many benefits of a plant-based (vegan) diet. On the way to Vancouver, Jeff stopped by Bellingham, WA to see some friends, where he took some photos. He also took photos around Vancouver, as well as at the Taste of Health, itself. (TOH is put on by EarthSave.)

Oregon Trip, July 2011 - Jeff made his annual (almost every year) to the OCF to have fun, relax, and take some photos, as well as spend time with friends
- The Oregon Country Fair - This is a fun event with lots of great music, food, and crafts, as well as some pretty crazy outfits!
- Around Cottage Grove and Lake Dorena - A very relaxing place to visit
- Socializing at Bob's Place - Bob knows how to throw a party!
Jeff recently took a trip to Tanglewood Wellness Center in Panama for a supervised water fast with his friend Loren Lockman. Most of these photos are from Tanglewood, with a few at the beginning and end of the trip to and from Tanglewood.
Jeff attended the wedding and festival in honor of his friends, Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes, in Southern Oregon.
Oregon Country Fair, July 2008
Jeff documented his (almost) annual visit to the Oregon Country Fair, near Eugene, Oregon.
Jeff toured the Los Angeles area, including Santa Monica, Hollywood, the Griffith Observatory, and Rodeo Drive. He also visited Worldfest (see below)
One of Jeff's favorite veg events is Worldfest. It takes place, annually, at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA. There is great food, a lot of great product booths, entertainment, and great speakers and chef demos. The event focusses on environmental topics, so all the foods are plant-based!
Jeff spent an afternoon at the permaculture farm (garden) at the Raw Vegan Source in Redmond, Washington, not far from Seattle, WA.
